Cisco cBR-8 – Carrier-Grade DOCSIS 3.1 CCAP/CMTS, Configured and Ready to Deploy
The Cisco cBR-8 Converged Broadband Router is a 13RU Converged Cable Access Platform (CCAP) that acts as a Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS) for hybrid fiber-coaxial networks. This refurbished system is supplied as a complete, redundant control plane with dual CBR-CCAP-SUP-160G supervisors and two DOCSIS 3.1 line cards, tested and ready to deploy in a cable operator headend or hub site. Since Cisco ended sale of cBR-8 hardware in April 2026 with no announced replacement, the secondary market is now the only source for these systems and their components — and support runs to April 2031.
