The Cisco GS7000 is the field optical node of Cisco’s HFC platform (formerly Scientific Atlanta). It takes the optical feed from the hub, converts it to RF, and distributes it across the coaxial plant to the subscriber. This unit is PID G5A2AA101A1BXXXB3X, with 1 GHz forward bandwidth and a 42/54 MHz return split.
It is the unit cable operators and ISPs use to extend coverage, run node splits, and replace outside plant on existing Cisco infrastructure.

Lifecycle and availability
Cisco ended sale of this node on June 5, 2019 and ended support on June 30, 2024. Operators maintaining Cisco HFC plant can only source these units on the secondary market. AH Tech Solutions holds inventory and ships from California.

One (1) complete Cisco GS7000 node, exactly as shown in the photographs: housing with lid, 2 power supplies, 1 forward receiver, 1 1310 nm DFB return transmitter, DOCSIS transponder, FCM 1×4 forward module, RCM 4×1 reverse module, and fiber management tray.
Not included: additional optical receivers or transmitters, fiber jumpers, or mounting hardware.
